Megan Mitchell is an experienced educational counselor with Positive Kids, specializing in executive
functioning and helping young people develop the skills they need to excel academically and personally.
With over 15 years of experience in teaching and counseling, Megan finds great fulfillment in working
with children, guiding them to achieve beyond their expectations.
Her expertise in executive functioning allows her to support children in areas such as organization, time
management, and goal setting, empowering them to succeed both in and out of the classroom. Megan
holds a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational
Leadership from Grand Valley State University.
Throughout her career, Megan has served as a Social Emotional Learning Educator at Bloomfield Hills
Schools and as an Instructional Coach at Oak Park School District, where she collaborated with students,
educators, and parents to address academic and emotional needs. She is committed to fostering a
positive learning environment and helping children overcome challenges through personalized
strategies and support.
Megan is also a licensed social worker, holding multiple certifications in education, including school
administration, elementary education, and social work.
